Co-founders Dr. Tamulavichus and Mike Kogelis created Big City Optical in 2017 when they decided to bring their ideal Chicago optometry practice to life. They envisioned a laid-back neighborhood shop where doctors knew the names of their clients, where appointments were convenient, and where everyone involved was having a great time. This ideal practice quickly became a Chicago staple, as our cozy neighborhood business now serves the community in 17 locations throughout the city.
