Big City Optical began as a simple idea shared by co-founders Dr. Rasa Tamulavichus, O.D., and Mike Kogelis — a Chicago-based husband-and-wife team who wanted to build something different. Their vision: a locally owned, neighborhood practice that combined the care and familiarity of a small shop with the technology and style of a larger brand.

That vision became Big City Optical — a growing, family-run practice with deep community ties and a passion for personal service.
